Everyone wants to be the hero of their own story. Sometimes, it's riding off to the distance with a loved one. Sometimes, it's the continuation of an ongoing adventure. Sometimes, it's walking off towards the dying, bleeding sun alone, back turned to leave the past behind. And still, sometimes, it may be writing themselves out because they think it's for the greater good of the story.
Maybe that's the reason for all the dramatics.
But everyone in their own little story, their own little world- would that not be an isolated prison? A world full of loneliness, a little blue diary with wooden covers and six squares on the front and back, cream pages inside.
It is the words that give meaning to each story. Words that are borrowed, taken, lent, and given from other books, other little lonely worlds. Words that connect one story to the next. Words that give, even if just a little, bit of solace to the one inside those covers, building bridges and reaching out in so many different directions towards other little worlds just like it. Each with their own set of characters and their own heroes.
